And more importantly, we will be supporting our friends at Equine Voices. This is a great event and a very worthy cause - make sure it is on your calendar, and plan on joining us. We will share more information as we get closer to the date.

Arizona Animal Fair - 2012
On March 6th, 2012, we had our coming out party at the Arizona Animal Fair. Our booth was next door to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, and subsequently we had a fabulous crowd around us all day.
We had plenty of volunteers, and were accepting membership applications at the event, as well as pre-orders for the stylish SA Greys Shirts.
Last year, Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption was honored to be able to attend and promote our cause at our sister organization's (Equine Voices) annual fundraiser. We were the new kids on the block, and in that early "get out the message" phase. Indeed, the event was fun, and a great boost to our fledgling organization.
This year, we are glad to be invited back to participate in the 9th annual "A Very Special Horse Event", once again hosted by the wonderful folks at Equine Voices. There are a lot of fun activities and things to see, food to eat, and horses to meet.
Admission for the event is $5 and includes one raffle ticket, and all the following activities:
- Special rescue horses
- Meet Jennifer Wadell of KGUN 9 News
- Silent and live auctions
- Raffles with extraordinary prizes
- Live concert by the Amber Norgaard Band
- Culinary treats by Quesadillas and More, as well as Stolen Recipe BBQ
- Tack sales
- And special guests, US, Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption
We will have a table loaded with literature and information about Greyhounds, greyhound adoption, how you can help, and even some of our stylish gear to purchase (hats, T-shirts).
The event is at Brandy Fenton Memorial Park in Tucson.
Saturday, March 30
11:30AM to 3:30PM
Please, do not bring dogs, for the horses' sake.

Meet & Greet
Meet and Greet
The absolute best way to get familiar with a particular greyhound that you have seen on our "Available Hounds" area is to attend a Meet and Greet. Typically, they are scheduled early afternoons on the weekends at a variety of locations. Our volunteers attend with the dogs to introduce the community to the breed and to specific hounds. If you are thinking about adopting a Greyhound, or just learning a little more about these wonderful creatures, plan on stopping by.
